Day 1: Kampala/Southwestern Uganda
Depart Kampala in early morning and drive through magnificent countryside and tropical bamboo forest on our way to Kisoro. Stops along the way at the equator for photographs. Stop for lunch in Mbarara before an afternoon arrival into Kisoro.
Day 2: Gorilla Trek
Follow experienced guides and trek deep into the forest on the slopes of the volcanoes in search of a family of mountain gorillas for an amazing interactive experience.
Day 3: Kampala
Depart early for Kampala. Stop after the town of Mbarara at the Igongo Cultural Centre. Learn about western Uganda traditions and enjoy a traditional lunch. Arrive back in Kampala in the early evening. Tour ends on arrival.
Day 4: Nairobi
Arrive at any time.
Day 5-6: Masai Mara Game Reserve
View wildlife and stop for photographs on daily game drives. Opt to visit a local Masai village and learn to dance like a local.
Day 7: Nairobi
Morning game drive at the Masai Mara Game Reserve before departing for Nairobi.
Day 8: Arusha
Cross into Tanzania and prepare for the safari.
Day 9: Lake Manyara National Park
Learn about the Mto wa Mbu village on a guided cultural walk. View wildlife on a game drive.
Day 10: Serengeti National Park
Visit an authentic Masai village and pull out the camera for great shots of wildlife on game drives.
Day 11: Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Morning game drive in the Serengeti. Take in the spectacular view of the Ngorongoro Crater from its rim.
Day 12: Ngorongoro Conservation Area/Arusha
Morning game drive in the crater.
Day 13: Arusha
Depart at any time.
Day 14: Stone Town
Arrive at any time. Arrival transfer included.
Day 15: Stone Town
The day is yours to explore Stone Town at your leisure. A UNESCO World Heritage site, Stone Town is a captivating labyrinth of narrow streets and winding alleyways. Lose yourself in the buzz of the bustling bazaars, and check out the many mosques and grand Arab residences. Options include a guided tour of the town, visiting the local museums, or just relaxing.
Day 16-17: Mangwapani Beach
Visit a local spice plantation for a guided tour. The archipelago still produces cloves, black pepper, cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, breadfruit, jackfruit, vanilla and lemongrass. Continue to the beach and relax on the white sand, soaking up the sunshine, or snorkel or scuba dive in the crystal clear waters.
Day 18: Stone Town
Transfer back to the airport for departure. Please book ongoing travel for the late afternoon.
